Chicory

Cichorium intybus

Description:

Yep, the chicory that's roots are well know. Small (1 inch) light blue flowers on slender stems. A non-native, but one I still kinda like.

Habitat:

Open fields. Strangely enough, it seems to like being near roadways, and is often seen in freeway medians.
