Paper Wasp

Polistes annularis

Description:

Pretty sure this is a paper wasp. Suggestions welcome, though. I'm wondering if it's a different species, but the markings are muddied. The not-so-hot quality of the Android camera doesn't help. But the prolificacy of paper wasps in the area doesn't make my guess a long shot.

Habitat:

Found resting in front of the Glassell School of Art.

Notes:

Wasn't dead, but was very slow to respond when stimulated. Grounded, but no signs of any injury.
