Sooty Oystercatcher

Haematopus fuliginosus

Description:

The Sooty Oystercatcher is a species of oystercatcher. Females larger and has longer, thinner bills. Males have shorter, thicker bills. So presuming these are a pair. Enjoying a feed along the shore line.

Habitat:

A wading pair of birds, at a surf beach. Putting there bills into the sand trying to get a feed as he waves are coming in and out.
