Description:

The Blackvein Sergeant is a species of nymphalid butterfly found in Southwest India and parts of Southeast Asia.

Habitat:

Sikkim; Bhutan ; hills of Assam, Burma and Tenasserim. Found also in Southern India, Western Ghats and the Nilgiris

Notes:

The major vegetation types found in Gelephu are mixed hard wood forests, paddy fields, wetlands and some amount of marsh land vegetation. Altitude- 200m to 1800 m ASL.
