Description:

a woody, semi-scrambling undershrub, the buds and calyx tubes are coated in sticky glandular hairs.

Habitat:

growing on a sandy embankment along a dry river course, a common undershrub in open riverine woodland in what is predominantly a tree-scrub savannah with hot wet (av. 450mm p.a.) summers and mild dry winters

Notes:

This individual was flowering in the summertime but the flowers are often encountered in riverside woodland in wintertime when it is very dry
