Hericium erinaceus


Large white fungus. Soft, squishy and moist. Covered in a rubbery hair-like substance. no spores. Found growing on a living tree. not sure what type.

Almost definitely a Hericium species, but not sure if it's the Lion's Mane or one of its sister species (they're all considered edible). Nice find!
