Description:

The Leafhopper is a large family (15 genera and 2000 species) of generally beautiful and frequently important insects. Adults slender bodied, with front margin of the head (as seen from above) as either triangular or broadly curved. Small hair-like antennae are situated between the eyes. Red-band wings. Black body with yellow stripe.
