Spot-billed Pelican

Pelecanus philippensis

Description:

It is mainly white, with a grey hindneck and a brownish tail. Spots on bill, obviously.

Habitat:

Lake adjoining the resort we stayed at. Half an hours drive from Yala National Park.

Notes:

IUCN status: Near Threatened.Known breeding populations are now confined to India, Sri Lanka and Cambodia.
