Leek-green flower spider-female

Diaea prasina

Description:

A little spider about 6mm long with a bright green cephalothorax and a rounded cream abdomen. The abdomen had distinctive black markings (spots) which flared out in a "v" on a background of green, from the rear end. A median green strip also seen on the abdomen, closer tot he thorax.

Habitat:

Spotted on a green vine - ?species

Notes:

This little spider is a female from the family: THOMISIDAE. It was very difficult to photograph as it tried to hide from the camera. It's a pity i could not get a shot of his eyes. This spider is also called the grey flower spider but I think he's more green than grey. http://www.arachne.org.au/01_cms/details...
