Common Eastern Bumble Bee

Bombus impatiens

Description:

Medium sized furry bee. Yellow and black coloration with dark amber wings. I am not entirely sure what was going on with this bumble bee. I found it on the ground alive but not acting normally. It may have been taking a rest or a victim of insecticide. I did not find it dead later, so I am guessing that it recovered and flew away.

Habitat:

Suburban yard.
