Description:

With finger sized stems and height of around 5 to 6 feet. Grows in clump. Wild but can be grown easily by the use of suckers similar to ginger.

Habitat:

second growth tropical forest and farm patches of Bulusan Sorsogon

Notes:

With similar plant in the ASEAN tropical plant database but the fruits are totally different. This one has saffron colored fruits while those in the database are greenish white.
