Camel Cricket

Ceuthophilus sp.

Description:

Large cricket with a slightly humped back and large hind legs. Underside is a pale tan, dorsum is mottled brown black and orange. Some darker brown on legs. Hanging out with a sowbug. Found under a piece of bark on the ground.

Habitat:

Temperate forest bordering the James River. Pony Pasture Park, Virginia.
