Striking white flower, some 12 cm in diameter, hermaphrodite - both stigma and anthers can be nicely seen on first photo. Six tepals (3 plus 3) and 6 anthers. Herbaceous plant, elongated leaves with parallel nerves. We did not check for the bulb...

Habitat:

Tropical forest, on the border of stream.

Notes:

According to all literature, Lilium species are not native to Africa (or were not not mentioned)... I wonder if this one was introduced or escaped from gardens (not that there are many gardens in that part of the town)...
