Little Corella

Cacatua sanguinea

Description:

A white parrot about the size of a galah with a short backward pointing crest and short curved beak. The eyes had a a fleshy ring of pale blue. A hint of pale reddish-pink between the eys and the beak gives this bird its specific name "sanguinea". Pic 4 & 5 shows the little corella in the company of sulphur crested cockatoos.

Habitat:

Spotted in the garden - suburban bush.

Notes:

This little corella did not have well developed colours - ? juvenile
