Description:

Moth about 2cm long and 1cm wingspan. Greyish furry body.

Habitat:

Found sitting on walls of the cottage in a forest

Notes:

Shot in daylight & didn't fly when clicked.

ajay, i was suggesting this moth could be some Calliteara species not exactly Calliteara horsfieldii. i gave u that link because that was the closest i found.
you can fill the scientific name field as Calliteara sp. if you agree :)

Nuwan, here this moth is greyish & in your link its brownish. Is it the camera settings & flash making the difference for the same organism?
