Ischnura posita

Description:

Tiny dark forktail with bright exclamation points on thorax. Patterns become obscure with age and may be covered with gray pruinosity on thorax and abdomen

Habitat:

Ponds, lake shores, swamps, ditches and slow streams with abundant herbaceous vegetation. Often in dense grass or sedge beds, and other herbaceous plant beds in shady wooded situations. High tolerance for population.

Notes:

Extremely hard to get a good shot of this tiny female forktail at the neighbor's pond 1/4 down the road from my house. Much pruinosity.
