Heck cattle

Notes:

Pic.1: a standoff, we were advised to stand still Pic.2: he withdraw Pic.3: he was nibbling at a deer carcass. There are about 2000 Heck cattle in Europe and few elsewhere. Since it was claimed by the Heck brothers that their breed is a resurrected wild animal, which has been accepted by many people without criticism, Heck cattle has been proposed as suited animals for some conservation projects. In Oostvaardersplassen in Flevoland near Lelystad (Netherlands), there are about 600 Heck cattle freely roaming.

You're welcome Gilma.
And yes, there is some Spanish blood in there Sophie.

Another great spotting, and another interesting read.
Your spottings have history behind them, thanks for sharing.

Any connections with Spain?
