Cloudless Sulphur

Phoebis sennae

Description:

Medium sized butterfly with bright yellow coloration. Small, silver black-rimmed spots on hind wings. This particular individual has more pinkish markings which is not uncommon for this species.

Habitat:

Well planted housing area with many man-made, freshwater lagoons and golf courses.

Notes:

We saw quite a few of these. They have a habit of landing on the ground in the leaves.
