Black and Yellow Garden Spider Egg Sac

Argiope aurantia

Description:

1 inch length. (2.54 cm) Unknown spider in first photo. Female spiders lay approximately 1,000 eggs in creating 1-4 egg sacs suspended from plants or web. The female guards the egg sacs as long as possible until the cold weather sets in.

Habitat:

Meadows. Range: USA including Hawaii, Mexico, Central America and Canada.
