At around 10 cm (4 in) this was one of the biggest caterpillars I've seen till now. ID provided by EarlyStages.
Wow! Awesome spot! We have Carolina Sphinx - (Manduca sexta) caterpillars http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/... that get up to 6-9 inches long!
