Peninsular cooter

Pseudemys peninsularis

Habitat:

spotted sunning in residential pond near the Indian River

Notes:

This one has me confused. Seems it has an unusual number of plastron markings; I can't detect the patch of yellow behind the eye in the yellow-bellied slider (Trachemys scripta scripta) or a red ear in Trachemys scripta elegans. Possbly a hybrib?
