Eulepidotis rectimargo
White moth with brown bands, 2 cm long. The second two pictures were taken in the same place on 24 August 2014.
Came to the parking lights of a shopping mall, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
Thank you so much Jakubko and Juan Carlos :). Jakubko, you are right! They are all so similar. The next time one comes to me I will try to get a picture of the entire underwing.
That is a beauty!!
I have the same spotting and bayucca ID it the same as Jakubko.
Erebid Moth, Eulepidotis rectimargo

Most certainly Eulepidotis sp., but:
E. electa is also very similar. I think E. rectimargo has two lighter markings on the lower brown part of the forewing while E. electa only has one.

E. persimilis is also similar, but I think the diagonal line is too thin.

In contrast, I think the diagonal line of E. fantissima and E. dominicata is too thick:

However, please verify! Species in this genus are VERY similar!
