Trampoline Webs

Description:

These webs are large trampolines, thick and cover as much as a meter of space. Everything from above falls in, insects, leaves, seeds, and flowers, sometimes camouflaging the web in organic material. The spider was not visible but seems to be in a center funnel shaped entrance to the surface of the web.

Habitat:

Tropical forest, dry season, Chorreadero Park, 1.0 km above Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas, Mexico

Notes:

These things would be more horrible to run into at night than the fake spider webs of Indiana Jones, because they're real.... and thick.
