I certainly have these on my ID favs already, didn't have the time to take a closer look, have seen them both once, but where exactly??, and you certainly have the ID already. I think both are butterfly caties not moth. Give me some more time...

Yes, Catonephele acontius – good job, Dominik! The only Catonephele known from Orellana Province are C. acontius and C. numilia (very different head scoli), while C. orites is confined to west of the Andes in Esmeraldas Province.
Closest guess would be Catonephele orites. I am not sure if the one from the link is really Catonephele numilia. The ones from Costa Rica look quite different (ok, there are also different subspecies).
