@Keith... What goes around comes around, O thoust you shall not lead me into temptation! ;-)...
I certainly have these on my ID favs already, didn't have the time to take a closer look, have seen them both once, but where exactly??, and you certainly have the ID already. I think both are butterfly caties not moth. Give me some more time...

Dominik, how lucky are you feeling today? Want to go "double or nothing" for . . .
http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/165... (hint provided elsewhere)
. . . TRIPLE or nothing for:
http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/166... (note somewhat zigzaggy head scoli)?

Yes, Catonephele acontius – good job, Dominik! The only Catonephele known from Orellana Province are C. acontius and C. numilia (very different head scoli), while C. orites is confined to west of the Andes in Esmeraldas Province.

@Keith: It's your turn, but, remember I have no money left for you ;-)...

Looking at the other ones I think now there are all Catonephele acontius.

Closest guess would be Catonephele orites. I am not sure if the one from the link is really Catonephele numilia. The ones from Costa Rica look quite different (ok, there are also different subspecies).

This is definitely something for Keith to check.
