I have never seen nor known there were black lady bugs. Is this really a strain?

Hi ebonyandjoker and welcome to Project Noah. You might need a better shot of this one to hope for an ID. There certainly are black and many other types of ladybirds but this might also be another type of beetle like a 'leaf beetle'. There are even a few other types of beetle possibilities besides Chrysomelidae and Coccinellidae Have fun !!
