Thomisus spectabilis
an adult male - reddish brown... males are only 2-3mm in size compared to the 5-11mm females... furthermore... unlike the females... males do not possess the abilty to change colours.! males share the same attributes with females in that the first and second pairs of legs are noticeably longer and thicker than the last 2 pairs and are used for prey capture... the abdomen is triangular in shape... being widest posteriorly. and the lateral eyes are situated on tubercles.!
