Cladonia coniocraea
Lichen with squamulose primary thallus and fruticose secondary tallus. The podetia grey-green, slender, tapering to a point or terminating in a very narrow cup no wider than the podetium, sorediate in upper part, corticate and usually squamulose near base; basal squamules incised, white beneath, often sparsely sorediate on margins and underside; apothecia rare, brown, on the tips of the podetia. Widespread and often very common on mossy trunks and decaying stumps and logs.
