Blunt-headed Tree Snake

Imantodes lentiferus

Description:

A slender arboreal snake that is active at night. This was only about 2-3 feet long and I saw it two nights in a row on the same plant about 4 feet off the ground at the edge of a trail at the Maipaima Eco Lodge, Guyana.

Fabulous snake! I've always been fascinated by them too though didn't get to see too many growing up in England!

Snakes are one of my first loves in nature. I would go around the neighborhood catching snakes when I was 5 years old, and that lasted through my late teens.

What a lovely snake, Tom15...Love your spottings!!
