A white big Mushroom with brown spots that looks a lot alike the ones Amanita muscaria has, except that A. muscaria spots are white.

This Mushrooms grow around an Avocado tree.

Looks like rachodes to me - do you have photos of the button stage?

Dear John: I think it's a Chlorophyllum rhacodes but in an early stage, Otherwise it would be more parasol-shaped rather than ball shaped. I will wait until this grow more and see what shape they take. Thanks for your help.

Are the gills white? I also think that Chlorophyllum is likely.

Looks like Chlorophyllum rhachodes. Check for reddish staining when broken and a "double edged" annulus.
