Sorry I couldn't get a better picture - but this was the best I could do with 24x zoom at the distance I was at. I watched this Eagle perched on a branch over a pond betwen 3:55pm and 4:23pm.
Tree branch over edge of pond in Sussex co., Delaware.
Perched on northern side of pond for nearly 30 minutes before flying away; seemed to be scanning water for fish.I have seen Bald Eagles in the area before.--- Temperature: 35* f --- Windchill: 28* f --- Wind Speed: calm with 8mph gusts from NW --- Skies: Clear --- Water Surface: Calm, no ripples.---
