Lace Monitor (Goanna)

Notes:

Seen in our backyard today. This specimen was a little over a metre long, and while it is not the largest lace monitor I've seen here, it certainly had the fattest tail (see second pic)! Lace monitors are the second-largest monitor in Australia after the Perentie.
