Small butterfly with bright blue dorsal wings. Our guide said it was a morpho species.
Cloud forest
I thought so too Dominik, but the guides seemed to have very patchy knowledge of arthropods, & even some of the amphibians. It does look like a match for M platypera - should I put Micandra sp. to be on the safe side?
Definitely a Hairstreak not a Morpho, much too small for Morpho.Looks a little bit like Micandra sp., Micandra platyptera???http://www.flickr.com/photos/andreaskay/...http://butterfliesofamerica.com/micandra...Angle is tricky and yours is also quite worn.
