Tadpole is a special name that receives the larva of frogs.

Habitat:

These tadpoles were on the bank of a creek at the site of my grandfather.

When I put my hand in the water, they soon pick up my hand.

Probably toad tadpoles. They probably are much of the plants and dead skin on your hands provides protein. They will probably eat pieces of lettuce or chicken if you feed them
