Description:

Nadina domestica plant (heavenly bamboo) spotted at a friend's garden, Eastbourne Wellington NZ. The species is native to eastern Asia from the Himalaya east to Japan, but it is a popular evergreen ornamental shrub, with reddish folliage (in spring time), white flowers, and red berries.
