Gafanhoto espinhento (Spiny grasshopper)

Orthoptera, Caelifera, Procolpia regalis

Description:

At 7 cm (3 in), this is the largest grasshopper I've seen till now. It has a "primitive" look, with its spiny rear legs, the rugged body and the massive head.
