Description:

3 inches & bulbous to 5 inches with 4-5 inch wide cap & colorful white spotting paatern. Briefly abundant in fairy rings with yellow most abundant, though some red to orange hues present in same ring.

Habitat:

First noted in apartment complex lawn, growing vigorously in fairy rings through thick grass. Dozens later found all along deer trail along lakeside in Heritage Park while hunting for shaggy manes. No clear preference for tree types, surface, or moisture, simply abundant for 1 week.

Notes:

Fruited at same time as shaggy manes.
