Lota moth

Argon lota

Description:

It seems to be an Argon lota kind of moth because of the way in which is standing and the spots that can be sort of seen on the sides of the wings. It is a 35 to 40 mm moth tha lives in woods according to Bentancour (2011: 74 citing Hewitson, 1877); however, the one spotted in the picture was not in a wood but there was a wood at about 300 meters. I am NOT 100 % sure it is a Lota moth.

Habitat:

This moths can be seen in Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil.
