Megachile Bee, male

Description:

Medium sized bee. Dark body with light yellowish hair on face and thorax. Yellowish hair on front legs (males of most species of Megachile bees have this fringe and odor glands on the front legs, used during mating). Thin light stripes on abdomen. Ends of antennae slightly clubbed (not easy to see in my photos).

Habitat:

Suburban backyard garden.

Notes:

These bees are very hard to narrow down the species.
