Brittlestem sp.

Psathyrella sp.

Description:

Psathyrella was suggested on MO: http://mushroomobserver.org/120259?q=w09... . My first thought was Psathyrella prona but the stem doesn't seem as brittle as other Psathyrella mushrooms and P. prona has red gill edges according to Complete British Mushrooms and Toadstools (Paul Sterry, Barry Hughes). Looks similar to this spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/168...

Notes:

bt no sample. under a tree next to a small stream and maybe 30-40m from the railway. Not on footpath
