Ringed Kingfisher

Megaceryle torquata

Description:

The largest of the American kingfishers.

Habitat:

on a wire alongside a canal in Crooked tree wildlife sanctuary Belize

Notes:

Driving in toward our lodge. This was the best kingfisher series I'd gotten in ages, only to be surprised(upcoming) by the pygmy kings we saw nearby
