Stick Insect, Phasmid - Female

Diacanthoidea diacanthos

Description:

An interesting find for me, usually don't see Phasmids during day time. This one was resting under a small branch. Size around 8 cm. Brown with black markings on wings and body and yellow spots on her thorax. Has an odd-shaped head which is all black in colour. She flew away when I tried to get more closer-up shots, so, she is a good flyer.

Habitat:

Tropical forest
