Fence Lizard

Sceloporus undulatus

Description:

Eastern fence lizards mate in spring, and lay three to 16 eggs in late spring or early summer. The young hatch in summer and fall.

Notes:

Hatchling lizards were all over the place - these are 3 different specimens located with a dozen feet or so of the Illinois Monument at Cheatham Hill (Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield)
