A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Approximately 2" from tip to tip wingspan when resting. Resembles dried leaves. Moved very little despite the heavy wind.
Central CT forest/residential area.
This was my first & only time seeing one like this. It was a very windy morning. He sat against the door frame despite heavy activity. First spotted around 6:30am. Again around 3pm in the same spot. Gone by sunset though.
Good morning. Nice catch and photo! I found one here too. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/150...
What an awesome picture! My students are starting to learn about insects and are going to be so intrigued by this picture!
