Strix occidentalis lucida

Description:

Immature bird, still with downy fluff.

Habitat:

5,800 ft in a slightly burned maple grove.

Notes:

Observed for about 10 minutes at close range before it started to get annoyed.

Very nice...still looking for my first owl.(Recent years, saw a few when I was a kid) Guess they know I'm carrying a camera now...lol
