Description:

The rarest of Poecilotheria found in Sri Lanka, and found distributed only in a small range less than 20 km radius. Could be called point endemic and endangered.

Habitat:

Hill side dry forest with scattered trees. locality being fragmented by human settlements, roads and a huge river (Victoria reservoir)

Notes:

Two major threats 1) illegal collection for pet trade 2) killing by locals (thinking that these giants are deadly)
