Hibiscus rosa-sinensis
It is widely grown as an ornamental plant throughout the tropics and subtropics. As it does not tolerate temperatures below 10 °C (50 °F)
Thank you Seema

here you can see the distribution http://eol.org/pages/584771/overview
Oh ok sounds good then :)
Yes this plant is in my brother`s garden
Well I thought it was that species too, until I saw it is native to Asia. Is this in an area where it could have been planted?
I will not , I dont know anything about plants yet. :( , but I guess I found its ID
If I talk to you in plant parts, will you know what I'm talking about? I don't want to confuse you haha
I found this link http://www.costaricaweb.cr/photos/red-hi...
Ok well I am almost positive it's the genus Hibiscus
Nop, unfortunatelly this was the only photo I took
Family Malvaceae. I will do some searching, but Costa Rica is such a big hot spot for beautiful flowers like this one, who knows what I will find! Do you have any pictures from the side, or of the leaves or whole plant?
