Bubo virginianus
A large owl with wide-set ear tufts, a reddish, brown or gray face and a white throat. The iris is yellow. The upper parts are mottled brown; the underparts are light with brown barring. Can get up to approximately 2 feet in length.
Seen in deep forests to urban areas. They are the most widely distributed owl in the Americas.
Glad I was able to spot this beautiful owl as he blends in so well with his environment.
