They are great birds Britney. Wild ones are green and yellow where this domestic is blue and white. Green is produced by two colors, blue and yellow, but It lacks the gene for yellow and comes out blue and white. Neat.

You can look up Budgies on Wikipedia and find the scientific name and add it to that field.
