Description:

Can be larger then a human adults hand, however in the Brisbane area its quite rare, colours depend on species, the one in the photo has a silvery grey abdomen and brown and yellow legs. Along the outer edge of its web the silk will be a gold colour.

Habitat:

Warm moist areas such as gardens trees and paths.

Notes:

notorious for building webs at face height, seen a lot in my backyard and on hiking trips. very strong web
