Plains zebra

Description:

Small young striped horselike hoofed animal. Stand 40 inches at the shoulders and 50 inches to the top of the head. Striped black and white.

Habitat:

Not ideal habitat in a pen in the "Petting Zoo" at the South Florida State Fair, however conditions were clean and the animals seemed healthy. The friend I was with is very familiar with horses and was satisfied that the zebra was being taken care of adequately.
